What is a Network?

• A network = two or more devices connected to share data/resources.
• Purpose: communication, data exchange, resource sharing.

Types of Networks:

• LAN – Local Area Network (small, one location).
• WAN – Wide Area Network (large, multiple locations, internet).
• WLAN – Wireless LAN.
• PAN – Personal Area Network (Bluetooth, hotspot).
• MAN – Metropolitan Area Network.
