🎯 I will begin drafting a clear, thoughtful proposal for my independent tech project by identifying my audience, purpose, and key features.

✅ Success Criteria

I can explain what I’m building, who it’s for, and how I plan to make it real using tools I’ve learned this year.

🌍 Why Are We Learning This?

Every product—from an app to a portfolio—starts with a plan.

A strong proposal is the developer’s blueprint: it defines the why, the who, and the how before any code is written.

Professional developers use proposals to align vision, timeline, and tools before production begins.

📘 Vocabulary Focus

Term Definition Example
Proposal A written plan describing the purpose, audience, and design of a project A Google Doc outlining your app’s purpose
Audience The group your project is designed for Students who need a digital planner
Feature A specific function or element of your project “Dark mode toggle” or “contact form”
Feasibility How realistic a project is to build within time and resources Avoiding features that require APIs you haven’t learned yet
Wireframe A simple visual sketch of a page layout Drawing where the navbar, image, and footer go

Optional check for understanding: Ask, “What’s one feature you’ve seen online that you’d want to build?”

⏰ Warm-Up / Tech Journal (5 min)

“If someone asked you to pitch your project in 30 seconds, what would you say?”

Write or record your pitch — raw ideas are welcome.

(Bonus: pair share to practice saying it aloud.)

🧠 Mini-Lesson – What Makes a Strong Proposal? (10–12 min)

🔹 Clear Purpose – What problem are you solving or story are you telling?
