Purpose:
Collecting detailed, accurate spatial data one feature at a time with full attribute control.
Strengths:
- High accuracy placement
- Full attribute table access
- Clean editing tools
- Great for accessibility features (ramps, doors, signage, lighting)
What You Should Capture in Field Maps:
- Exact location (point)
- Feature type (ramp, stairs, restroom, entrance)
- Condition (accessible, blocked, outdated signage, uneven)
- Notes (specifics about usability, lighting, slope)
- Photos (optional but powerful)
When to Use It:
If you need precision, multiple attributes, or a mix of features across a large site.
