Why do you think IT professionals need to track their progress on projects instead of just “getting the job done”?

📚 Vocabulary

• Progress Log – a written record of what’s been done, what’s in progress, and what’s next.
• Deliverable – a product or result that a project must produce (ex: Story Map section, PSA video).

📣 Mini-Lesson / Lecture (10–12 min)

• Explain: In IT, documentation = accountability.
• Show sample progress log entry:
  • ✅ Completed: “Team embedded 1 housing map in Story Map.”
  • 🔄 In Progress: “Drafting Industry section.”
  • ⛔ Blockers: “Need wage dataset cleaned before adding chart.”
• Discuss: How is this different from a to-do list?
