Wednesday, Aug 27 (2-hour block)
🎯 Learning Intention
Today, I will explore and take notes on the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship, using real-life examples to understand why each matters.
✅ Success Criteria
I am successful when I can:
- Define each element clearly.
- Connect each element to a specific, real-world example.
- Identify one element I want to focus on for my PSA project.
1. Digital Access
- Definition: Equal opportunity to technology and online resources.
- Example: Some students don’t have Wi-Fi at home → rely on school Chromebooks or public library hotspots.
- Talk Point: “If some students don’t have access, how does that affect homework, projects, or even applying for jobs?”
2. Digital Commerce
- Definition: Buying/selling goods and services online.
- Example: Buying a game on Steam → safe vs. unsafe websites, phishing stores.
- Talk Point: “What happens if you buy from an unverified website and your credit card gets stolen?”
