🌍 Why We’re Learning This

System scripts automate at the operating system level. Macros automate inside apps. Both save time, reduce errors, and are part of professional IT work.

🧭 Agenda (47–50 min)

1) Warm-Up (Tech Journal, 5 min)

“Think of one task you repeat every day in Google Docs, Slides, or Sheets. How could it be automated?”

2) Mini-Lesson (10 min)

• Define macro: a recorded or written sequence of actions inside an app.
• Example:
  • Formatting text in Docs (insert header, set font, size, spacing).
  • Automating calculations in Sheets.
• Demo: In Sheets → Tools → Macros → Record Macro. Show “Bold every header row.”

3) Guided Practice (15 min)

• Students brainstorm: What macro would save them the most time?
